Over a dozen amazing films in a dozen cities! Great opportunity for those of us in the middle of country to see the best of Italian cinema. Beginning March 30 in Pittsburgh, with films in Phoenix, St. Louis, Chicago, Detroit, Kansas City, Boulder, Indianapolis, Portland, Cleveland, Memphis, and Milwaukee.
Don’t miss Marta Savina’s beautiful short film, Viola, Franca! Tribeca is April 19-30.
Could Paolo Virzì’s English-language debut The Leisure Seeker starring Donald Sutherland and Helen Mirren make it this year?. Other Italian candidates include Gianni Amelio’s La Tenerezza and Sergio Castellitto’s Fortunata starring Jasmine Trinca and Alessandro Borghi.
Traditionally the last of May into the first of June, New York’s Film Society of Lincoln Center brings a fabulous lineup of contemporary Italian films to New York, and with them, the filmmakers and actors.

And last but in no way least, Inaugurated as a grassroots non-profit film festival in 2012, the ICFF (Italian Contemporary Film Festival) has, in 5 years, grown to the the largest Italian film festival outside of Italy. Each year, ICFF is proud to present an inspiring showcase of the best new Italian and international cinema.
The ICFF is presented in more Canadian cities each year, including Toronto, Vaughan, Montreal, Quebec City, Hamilton and Vancouver. This year it will close out spring, June 8-16. Watch here for the lineup.
