June 1st through June 7th, Istituto Luce Cinecittà and the Film Society of Lincoln Center will host the17th edition of the Open Roads: New Italian Cinema film festival.
If you have been planning on a trip to New York City and you are an Italian film lover, this is the time to come; this year’s lineup of 14 top films is especially outstanding.
All films will be screened at Walter Reade Theater, located at165 W 65th St, New York, NY.
The Opening Night selection is the New York premiere of Edoardo De Angelis’s 6 time David di Donatello winning Indivisible, followed by 13 additional titles that are North American or New York premieres.
The lineup is a diverse and eclectic offering of comedies like Pierfrancesco Diliberto’s In Guerra Per Amore (At War For Love) and Alessandro Aronadio’s Orecchie (Ears), cutting edge dramas like Indivisibili and Claudio Giovannesi’s Fiore (Flower), and Federica Di Giacomo’s award-winning documentary Liberami (Deliver Us), about modern exorcism.
